It is a beautiful day here in Orlando on this Thursday, June 26, 2003.
This idea of blogging is really intriguing to me. I'm always thinking of ways that growing businesses can use it. Here are some random thoughts I've had recently on how they can be very practical.
1. Quick Helpful Hints. Every business has certain areas where they help customers/clients/patients. This is why we're in business. You can jot down quick "Helpful Hint of the Day" ideas on your blog. This is faster than most can do it on a website. You don't have to format, paste, remember HTML and all that other stuff.
2. Updated Product Announcements. When you make a new product or have a new advancement, this is a great way to get ideas out there to a select group quickly. They can have the updated information. With the use of some more advanced features (like using BLOGGER PRO) you can include pictures. That can help to show the new product.
3. Ideas and Notes. If you're at a seminar and take notes, you can post these notes to your blog. Those not able to attend would be able to see your ideas quickly and go back to them when they want (unlike getting it one time and having to save it with an e-mail).
4. Allow feedback. This is a great way to get ideas from others. You can find out what they think and let others post their messages. Always a good idea to get fresh, honest, objective feedback.

This is a blog (a web log). It is a way to enter a lot of information and have it posted by my webpage.
This is a great tool for any business. You can annouce new products. You can comment on current conditions and you can do just about anything you want on this. You have no limits, other than what you can type.
Think of the possibilities for entering detailed feedback on a new product and how it can take the market by storm. You can have a blog that is only known to a few close clients and associates. Then as you come up with ideas, you can post it there.
You also have the ability to post audio through the use of a telephone. This new breakthrough allows you to call a phone number, dictate a 2-minute message (up to 12 a month for $3.00/month) that can be heard on most computers. This will be the way the much communication is done in the future.
For now, it is worth noting that this is going to be a major breakthrough. Stay tuned here for futher updates.
